Qs & As
If we've not covered your question below, please contact us directly and we will be happy
to assist you.
How many people will there be in a workshop or demonstration?
We limit:
-
each workshop to six people so that each person gets plenty of hands-on experience and attention from the teaching chef; and
-
each demonstration to nine people so that there’s plenty of tasting opportunities for everyone.
How do I get ready for a workshop?
We will provide you with an apron, all the ingredients and equipment and course materials for the workshop, together with plenty of cups of tea and coffee throughout.
Just bring your enthusiasm some storage containers to take your delights home.
If you like to jot down notes, please bring a pen and notebook. All the recipes will be emailed to you after the workshop.
Wear comfortable clothes and non-slip closed toe shoes and if you have long hair, please bring something to tie it
back with.
When does a workshop start?
Our half day workshops run from 9:30am to 12:30pm, 10am to 1pm or 2pm to 5pm and
our whole day workshops run from 10am to 5pm.
As there will be a lot to get through, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the class to give you time to have
a cuppa, grab a biscuit and meet your fellow culinary companions.
Lunch will be provided on our whole day courses, so there won’t be any growling stomachs!
When does a demonstration start?
Our demonstrations run from 9:30am to 12:30pm or 2pm to 5pm.
To get settled, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of the demonstration.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there’s plenty of parking available at the venue.
Can anyone do a workshop?
We would be delighted to inspire young budding chefs!
Any person between the ages of 16 and 18 are welcome but they will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
I’m shy in the kitchen. Will I be the only shy one in the workshop?
Our workshops are suitable for everyone – whether you’re a complete beginner or a whizz in the kitchen.
We focus on teaching you techniques that will help you gain and build upon your confidence in the kitchen.
You’ll be surprised at yourself so don’t worry, we’re here to guide you.
I’m a seasoned cook – can I learn more in a workshop?
One of the key takeaways of a workshop is learning something that you didn’t know before.
If you’re unsure whether a workshop is daring enough for your culinary skills, please contact us before booking
and we can run through which workshops could rise to the challenge.
We also run bespoke workshops so if there’s a particular recipe you want to perfect or skill you want to learn,
please contact us to discuss.
Can I come alone or do I need to come with a group?
Our workshops and demonstrations are relaxed and interactive so you can come on your own and make
new friends or you can bring a group of friends with you and share the fun.
I have allergies or dietary requirements. Can I sign up for a workshop or a demonstration?
